Hi all,

I am starting to write up a busines plan for becoming a reseller. I have a questions regarding backup. Lets say i am a reseller for venturesonline, is there a way to backup clients websites onto some other backup media through web host manager. Or do i have to ask venturesonline to back them up for me. Any help would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks for the offer, but i am not looking for a backup solution at this time. I wanted to know if i will be able to backup my clients data to some storage media at my place of business.

Not sure about WHM but I know that in Cpanel you can backup your own website and download it to your computer.

If you had shell access then you could tar up the Virtual Host Directory and download that and that would be sufficent backup.

It depends on the hosting service, your best emailing the sales team of the host your looking into and asking them what backup options they have available.
