hey all,
just wondering what your thoughts were on bandwidth and customers that recieve a *large* amount of traffic but its not acutally going there. (I.E. 401 forbidden traffic, [membership site]). For one site, they pushed only 20 gigs of transfer, but then during a sustained period of 5 hours the MRTG graphs showed it was pushing 8megabits or so because someone was trying to run a password hacking site, and since it was 401 errors there was no traffic logged into access_log. What would you charge to the customer or do in this case? If you guys don't understand I'll try to explain in another method, but please give me some suggestions..thank you
