Hello, I was wondering why is it that the administrators don't want us to edit our posts in the advertising forum after fifteen minutes?
Is there any possible way to get that lifted :bawling:

No. There is too much abuse. People will say something, usually a complete lie, and then edit it later.
If you have something that needs to be removed you can use the help desk. A mod may remove it for you.

Moved to WHT-Announcements, WHT-Feedback, WHT-Questions.

It would be nice to see a vB hack that would allow to add to posts and not change existing text only in the advertising forums. I agree with SandroBird and blue at the same time with this.

It changes the context of the discussion when you allow perpetual editing or additions. That's the main problem. You could start a big flame war, then go back a couple hours later to your inflammatory post and add (j/k) at the bottom, and make everyone who took you seriously look like fools for debating you, etc. If you have a thought later on in a discussion, it makes the most sense to add it to the thread at that time, signifying the point at which you had your thought and where it plays in the unfolding of the thread.
The way WHT handles this now is the best way, I think. 15 minutes to rearrange your thoughts properly, and then modifications via help desk only.

Too bad more people wouldn't take that 15 minutes before making the post in the first place.
