Thanks 311 03-17-2002, 09:20 PM There are various methods of doing that. Do you own your own server? Are you using a shared hosting account? It would help us more if you could elaborate...;) leojez 03-17-2002, 09:45 PM Sorry, I'm using a shared hosting account at Gearhost. My website is www.eslkidstuff.com Do you need any more info? Thanks. BenEDH 03-17-2002, 10:13 PM Yes, i used to have agearhost account, thankfully i left because i couldnt stand the lack of a working control panel, but your logs should be locate din your root directory, and all you have to do is get a log analyzer (many available at download.com) and the analyze the logs, hope that helps :) Aralanthir 03-17-2002, 10:35 PM I'm just wondering, are there any ways to monitor bandwidth usage if you don't have a log file? I'm only a poor student, and my hosting account comes with my ISP and they do not provide logs for anything. :\ 311 03-17-2002, 10:46 PM just ask your isp how much you're using, they'll most likley know... jambler 03-17-2002, 10:50 PM There are a few ways to do it. Especially if your on a *nix server. There is a count function on most firewalls that will add up the amount of packets that have passed through on a particular IP address. You might inquire about whether your network/server admin will set that up for you. I know for a fact that ipf does it quite well. I have had to use it more then once to track users stats. |
