Hello,
Well I have finnaly brought my server. I ended up with an Ensim from rackshack.

Just want to let you all know that there support to me has been brillent.

Ive had a new troubles with getting some IP address for my name servers, but so far thery seem to have delt with it extramly well. They are moving my server to a differnet subnet. And then hopefully I will get my 2 new IP address that I have requested.

"You have ordered 2 additional IP addresses, but unfortunely we dont have enough IP address on that subnet to fulfill your request. The only way to provide them would be to move your server to another subnet. We need your permission to do this. Please reply back with your answer. Thanks."

Then within half an hour

"I have notified Data Center that you have approved the subnet move. Once the phyiscal move is finished, they will assigned the additional IP's. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation."

Very good:)

Let just hope they do what they say.

Well done RackShack

Rackshack support can be good at times but sometimes when there is a lot of people looking for support it can be difficult.

Only problem now ... my admin is slow and keeps crashing!

I am not sure what would cause something like that to happen!!

Considering that it's a new server with probably no sites on it yet.... It does sound odd to be crashing... Now is this your internet connection perhaps and the pages are just loading really slow and perhaps stopping or freezing?

Or are you having to restart the server or the appliance software.

Look at your /var/log/messages file if it is over 2GB that is a bandwidth manager problem with Ensim. There is only a Beta patch. If you patch it the protesge will crash and you can't access the Admin.

One of the many Known Problems.

update:

All problems solved, I can now access my services and all seems well.

I can now hopefully setup my own nameservers.

Full credit to rackshack again for superb tech support
