Hi Guys,

This is my first post here, I have been reading the board for a couple of days, and I must say its great..the amount of information to be found here is huge :-)

Anyway, does anyone know if the web based panel on the RAQ3 is customisable? e.g. can I make my own buttons for it and upload them, and maybe my own logo?

Also, regarding website stats..I have seen a free stats program, called Webalizer http://www.mrunix.net/webalizer/
I notice that on the downloads page there is a link for the raq2...any idea if it would be ok on the 3 and also if it would use many system resources, for free it looks like a nice package to have to me.

Thanks a lot!

Matt

I believe there is raq3 package, which I believe can be found on Cobalt's site, somewhere.

Altering the control panel was discussed less than two weeks ago, keep looking -you'll find it. Maybe someone can reference the exact thread.

I believe this is the URL for webalizer:

ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/experimental/raq3/webalizer-auth-1.30.04.i386.pkg
ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/experimental/raq3/webalizer.README

How many problems does installing webaliser cause at first?. Or at any period?. and What Problems if Any?.

No 'might' about it eva2000, do it! (It kicks donkey!) After you see the limited stats in the RaQ CP, this will please you. I am 100% certain.

Wait 24 hours but keep checking domain.com/stats (at some point you'll get promted to enter your user name and pass, otherwise, you'll get a 404.

It is not continuously updated. Runs everyday (mine at 10 pm).

I would suggest a 3rd party tracker/counter! I have signed up with hitbox.com (DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR NEWLETTER) and you should see what stats they offer their users! Here are some examples:

Keep in mind that all stats can be viewd in day, week, month or year.

- Traffic: summary, page views, dayli uniques, reloads, new visitors, returning visitors, etc..

- Referrens: domains, urls, newsletters, counties, search engies, etc..

- System: browsers, os, screen resolutions, color palletes, etc..

- Visitors: last 100 domains, loyalty index, countries, languages, time zones, etc..

- Navigation: top paths, time spent on site, time spent on pages, etc..

Pages: most requested pages, page views per visitor, entry pages, exit pages, etc..

View demo at: http://get.hitbox.com/content/demo_frame.html

What you do is you add a few lines of HTML to each page and you gave the page a name. It will basicly track every single thing that is happening on your page. :D

Definitely worth checking out!

But keep in mind, whatever you do DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR NEWLETTER!!!

I used to have a similar 3rd party web stat program, but it slows loading time on my page.
