Hallo all; this is my life; as a web deisgner...

Started with hostgator ; shared plan. After a week realised couldnt host more than one site; so i switched to tamranda.com as hostgator reseller were a bit pricey.

After being at tamranda for about 3 weeks now ive had many a problem which tamranda support have tried they're utmost to help me with. But they're servers are too slow for me and they've been having access problems...

Basically; i need a super fast ; reliable reseller host. I have a budget of $30 per month. Im looking for 10gb or more with all extras. I need a reputable site with loads of experience.

Ive seen loads of these posted on here but none meet my price bracket; apart from www.hostinglite.com. But after pinging i get a time of 400ms which isnt too good me thinks.

I guess this is kind of a review with a twist... :)

10gb storage or bandwidth?

Sorry about that; storage. Bandwidth i need 10x the storage or more.

What would be really helpful was if they had say a 5gb space one then i can upgrade when needed...

For the price listed, it will be very hard to come around with a package that fits your needs. I would recommend an increase in budget.

hmm; i guess you're right if i need excellent reliability etc. so 10gbs space for $30 odd a month is not possible?

Don't give up so quickly. They are out there. Also, some price by usage or usage bracket, which might work better for you if you have more income coming in by the time the next bracket comes around. If you have not done so already, you may want to try a program that tests the server speed through various methods over a period of time, especially peak and off-peak periods.

If you liked HostGator and had no problems maybe you should give them another shot, last time I saw their site (a couple weeks ago) they were offering multiple domains on their shared accounts (not the Hatchling plan, tho). I asked through their live chat if these were true domains and not just aliases, they said they were true domains.

I dont think 10 GB storage for $30/month is a reasonable budget. You should probably look at significantly increasing your budget, lowering your requirements (do you actually need 10 GB Disk Space) or maybe looking at a VPS solution.

Just do the math on this - but, there are only so many 10 GB accounts that can fit on a server, so at $30 each - it wont be enough to properly manage and maintain that server - meaning your reliability will not be high. The other options is that the server is oversold, which means you wont be getting your 10 GB anyway...

May I ask how much space and bandwith you are actually using? (vs how much you would like to have)

Maybe look into a VPS, or even a Semi-dedicated system.. Those for 10GBFile /100GB Band cost about $65 a month, but you can resell that space to gain that back to make it litterally profitable.

There are thousands of hosting companies out there, but you will get what you pay for. The more a hosting company charges, the easier it is for the hosting company to make sure there are enough resources to go around for all of their customers. If you are actually using 10GB of disk space, then you should expect to pay a bit for web hosting.

A friend of mine once said, "When looking for web hosting, you can pick two from the following list: Speed, Reliability, Price". The saying is true. It is simply unrealistic to assume you can somehow get high speed, excellent reliability, and a dirt cheap price at the same time.

A VPS is alot closer to what you are looking for.

I think i will stick with reseller for now; any more on hostinglite.com ? Im just about to sign up ;)

Looks like there are 3 options.

1. Go with hostinglite if they have a Mony Back Guarantee -- or you don't mind losing some money.

2. Start another thread specific to feedback on hostinglite.

3. Keep looking.

Doesn't sound like going beyond a Reseller account is a viable option at this point but you might want to learn about a Major difference in Reseller packages. Some Hosters use the 'Allocated Method' and some use the 'Acutal Use Method' -- quick definition (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=2085239#post2085239) of the two. Could make a difference in how much space you actually need and thus, pricing of a Reseller package.

Im now with HostingZOOM and am very happy.

They will definetly have a customer until i go Dedicated ;)
