ok - i searched the boards and didn't come across anything on this, forgive me if i missed something.

i am searching for a new webhost. i have a few domains registered at aletia, and the price is great but i'm not to happy w/ the service/uptime. that is fine because those are side projects of sorts, so i can deal with that for the remaining time.

my main domain, however, is hosted through dreamhost.com ...i've been with them for about a year and i LOVE them as far as uptime, features, security, tech support, service, etc. goes. BUT the price is killing me. so i am looking for a similar rate of service, but lower price. i also know i can get a lot more bandwidth/space, etc. for a better price, so that's another consideration.

one that i'm looking into is the 'pixel pro' plan with cyberpixels - http://cyberpixels.com/plans.php

has anyone heard anything good or bad about them? any experience with them? is there a way to see if they are a relatively new company?

and does anyone have any suggestions for a good host with similar features in the 10-15 range?

thanks in advance!

*raises hand*

They are relatively new, and I know 2 people who have already signed up and have no complaints. In fact, I know the one of the owners and I can attest that she is an honest and fair person. ;)

Hello, inez, I am using Cyberpixels for my personal domain, eroticon-six.com I've only been hosting with them for less than a week, however. So far I've been pleased. I've talked to support on AIM and got instant set-up. The main reason I went with them is that they offered more mySQL databases than the other hosts I was looking at (this being their cheapest plan). One of the co-owners posts one a message board I go to, so technically I went with them on a whim. They do offer a 30-day money back guarantee, so you really don't have much to lose. AIM support seems to be on at all hours (the past week I've been staying up 'til 3-4 am and at least one person was on). As far as I know, they are running one dedicated server and the owners are popular webmistresses. For personal domains, I think their hosting is pretty ideal. Just my two cents :)
