I think it would be kinda cool if on some of the forums like programming and other areas, members could give other members like "helpful" points or whatever if they answer/help them with a problem. I think this would encourage users to help other users.

I dont know if that makes sense. I think cpanels forums have something similar.

Anywho, just my 2 cents.

Let me explain.

Say I answer someones PHP question. They then can click a button like "Give Answer points" or something like that where the person could give that person like authority points.

Iono. Just a thought. Harder to explain than I thought.

Too much room for abuse.

I believe in a reverse warnings system that the moderators could use to reverse warning points for helpfulness.

vB has this feature built into its newer releases. Perhaps iNet will opt to make use of it when the upgrade takes place. It's called Reputation Points, or something like that.

It's called Reputation, although on some boards they called it Karma or Mojo, or like on my mboard, Brownie Points.

It may be awhile before this mboard upgrade, since vb is planning to release version 3.5 as a beta next month according to their support forum.
