I can't believe it. I didn't want to get into a drag-out negative rant about any one company, but somethings deserve to be said.
NamesAreCheap.com, as I mentioned before, provided really sloppy service.
1) Service was down for two weekends, which is ok if nobody surfs the web on the weekends. I wasn't happy. I want people to see my webpage, and I want to retrieve my domain-based email.
2) Support became crap. A phone call took 4 days to answer. Email support was minimal, and your main reason for the downtime was "Maintanence."
3) My request for basic information on my renewal date was never answered.
I cancelled my account, and received absolutely no feedback.
No acknowledgement and no apologies.
Now comes the insult. NamesAreCheap.com has charged my credit card for renewal. I guess I'll have to contact my credit card company, and write up a letter.... as if I didn't have anything better to do.
If you don't like headaches, avoid this company at all costs.
