What's up lately with everyone trying to copy other hosting companies? Its sad to see people can't create a name of their own and have to base it on another company. Feel free to delete my reply if its 'innapropiate'.

Hi,

I agree with you a little on this one. Anyways, time to go..

I agree. It's quite un called for by flaming others in advertising. That's almost same thing as advertising specific hosts have bigger downtime so don't choose them choose us.

Excuse Me, You have no right to say that Envision Host has any downtime at all. You don't know the company nor have you used us. Yes, I'm apart of Envision Host and Hostilizer is part as well. We don't think you should say stuff you don't know for facts. So Excuse You.

Huh? I didn't say anybody has any downtime. My whole point was flaming other companies. I specificly said that "That's almost same thing as advertising specific hosts have bigger downtime so don't choose them choose us." Where did you get the idea I was talking about your company?

Hostilizer,

YOU are not allowed to flame other companies!
If I start my own thread saying that my offer is better than you, will you like that kind of idea??

REMOVE IT NOW!

Why do people think its wrong for one company to say they have a better deal than another company? Am I in the twilight zone here? This kind of advertising is extremely common. Damn that Pepsi for having to say that it tastes better than Coke. The nerve of Burger King for insulting McDonalds fried burgers. When there is a popular company there is nothing wrong with a competitor making the claim that they are a cheaper alternative. The pressure must be getting to Marc, he used to just say thanks for mentioning us.

Guys,

All the talking are non sense and you are not making any sense. Have you try our services? if you don't, please don't come here and blab against your freedom of speech becuase if you do, that's breach of giving false information. I advise you to shut and go elsewhere. You KNOW nothing about our services nor company.

Last of all, this thread will be locked, and this flaming will stop becuase it's usless and pointing no where.

Thank You

What right do you have to say it's better than MCHost or SplashHost? It may offer more in terms of what you get for the money, but does that mean its better? No it doesn't. What criteria do you base your 'better' analysis on?

I agree with Marc here... it's sad to see other companies doing this.

Hostilizer, think your services may be a side issue now due to you doing more damage to yourself with the way you have replied to posts here. Maybe you should learn off some others here who have taken remarks and dealt with them in a professional manner by the way they replied. Check some of the posts this week in this forum and there are examples of this.

While you may direct justifications of the way you approached advertsing your services on the way Pepsi or others may advertise, you have missed a vital point. One of the basic fundamentals of marketing is how you approach a particular segment of a market and utilise methods subject to the community, social and cultural conditions within that market.

If you have been around on this board a while, then this should be evident since the original problems that plagued this topic forum with slanderous and outrageous posts on others advertised services. The commonality amongst those who are hosts here and offer services has been on the community level with the premise of not flaming or using another host to promote yourself which has become a standard that the majority abide by. They do this based on the merits of the services they are promoting without the need to use unwarranted leverage though put downs, intended or not.

Take this whichever way you like or even learn from it, but just think how many potential customers you have turned away, when all you had to do was be aware of the envirnment you were participating in.

Cheers

That was me who made the Pepsi/Coke comment. Unless Hostalizer edited his original post, then I can't figure out what everyone is so excerised about. What I got out of what he said was that he was offering a better deal based on price. He wasn't flaming Mchost and Splashhost's services...a perfectly legitamate way to advertise. If this offends the sensibilities of the community, then I think everyone is way too sensitive, and needs to be offended.

Yes greggish, you did bring that point up and hence why I used "may direct" instead of "did direct" considering you have given him a platform of sorts to try and justify his reasoning for using that option.

As for those who see this means as being too sensitive, well maybe you are right but then again maybe not so right. It isnt about the laws or who does what in television commercials, its about those who participate here having a common decency to rise above putting another down in order to promote themselves. We wonder why this is the most popular bulletin board on the net, and maybe it has to do with the majority raising their ethical standards above using low end tactics and relying on their offerings speaking for themself.

You be the judge....
