Well, I created this form from a Excel file that we have been using here were I work. We are trying to reduce our paper consumption, and moving to e-paper. It's an Employee order form. Here is the Idea or the goal we want...

1. Create the PDF form (Which I did)
2. have them fill it out online (Intranet)
3. Submit online (Have it emailed to or processor, Chris)
4. and be happy that it all worked.

But it didn't....I created the form in adobe designer and added the email submit button but it doesnt work...it wont submit nothing. It just sits there! Even when I launch the actual file from the desktop. It wont open outlook or anything....it give me the option of sending the email, says it "Gave it to the email app" and to check that it sent, but the Outlook has no record, I have the emails going to my box, and I never get anything.

I would really like to have the employees fill out the form, online and then when they submit have it go to my email....I keep reading about this CGI script called "FORMMAIL" (This one is Perl based) but I dont know how to set it up. I tried but I screwd everything up I'm not a programmer or anything like that....I didn't figure it to be this complicated. If anybody can help me please please help !!!!! I'm stuck with no were to go.....I would like the email to have the FDF file but Adobe design doesnt give me the option for sending the FDF file only Acrobat but Acrobat wont let me edit the form which I created...really wierd. It wont let me create buttons??? If anyone can help me with that one let me know as well....and no I did not enable securities...there are no securites. Here is a pict....

Like I said any help would be greatly appreciated.....thanks!

Check that you have enable MAPI inside outlook. Each machine sending the email would need to be updated I believe. I also think that they did some security enhancements to help outlook deal with viruses IIRC. That could be interfering as well. Search for outlook and MAPI and I think you could come up with something that may point you in the right direction. good luck

Don't have 2003 here...

But thinking about it again (might not be MAPI - not sure why that came to mind right away), isn't there something like "allow other applications to send email" option in there somewhere... I'm looking...

Edit... Sorry I was thinking of the warning. The option to disable it doesn't exist in OL 2003.
