We are just getting started, have one reseller account on *nix server and have setup a couple accounts (our own) to test everything and settle on scripts we will use for our customers. A new potential customer is looking to add chat to their website. Do you have reccomendations for preferred chat scripts to use based on your own experience? Looking for moderate price (free if good script), easy install and customization, reliable and resouce friendly. We are not sure how many simultaneous connections there may be.

Also if you have any cautions or other advice we sure would appreciate the help. Should we run a seperate server to host the chat script (we may implementit for multiple sites) and any minimum and maximum sysem requirements for your reccomendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

jpilot.com can connect to an IRC server like mIRC, if you are able to setup an IRC server, the registration cost is $49.

www.hotscripts.com and then find the phpmychat. Or sourceforge.net and search for phpmychat. I use it and it works great!
