Maybe you didn't go through their cancellation process correctly? I would suggest calling them and duking it out over the phone, it's usually easier to get people to understand what you're angleing for then email. But one thing to note, don't call up VISA and claim "fraud" because that will just dig your grave. If you want to issue a chargeback with VISA, be very clear on indicated unauthorized transactions, as it's the same thing to you (a chargeback), to VISA, it's not (fraud vs a chargeback).

Hope that helps :)

You could always try contacting them via AIM

AIM usernames

IntServer
JohnIntSrv
GetTroubleFree

I had real problems cancelling my dedicated server account with them, I managed to get it all sorted out (hopefully) in AIM in a few minutes.

mercury: correct me if I'm wrong, but they never said they will give you a refund. Here is the text taken from your post:

i gave you credit for next month.

They said they will credit your account for the next month. Meaning: next month, you will be billed $150 less than normal.

In your messages you say you thought they will refund you. I think you didn't understand them...

I couldn't help noticing that English is not your native language - my advice to you is to be patient, contact them directly and double check if you understand what they are saying and if they understand what you are saying...

Good luck!

hi Ales,

yes english is not my native laguage.
But i understand it correctly. They should charge me $150 less...next month... they never do that.

So i cancelled 1 server and began to move clients elswhere...
Now they charge me the server i cancelled 1 month ago...
Of course send them e-mails but never had a replay

So i cancelled my other server i had with them.

Total loos: $ 150 (bandwidht) +$200 server = $350 !!! for nothing!!!

Well, you could contact your bank, where your credit card is issued. They will make a chargeback for you. This way, you will not loose any money.

Just make sure you have copies off all correspondence between interserver and you, so you can proove what happened. If this are e-mails, try to include headers also (raw code of all e-mails).

The way credit card companies are operating, they will make a chargeback for any payment over the internet, unless the seller has a written agreement, signed by the buyer. But even if the seller has it, you can still say that they didn't provide the service correctly or that they charged you too much - and it seems like they did. In this case, you will get all your money back.

Good luck,
Ales

Out of all the companies I have had either co located or have had dedicated servers with I must say Interserver was one of the best.

Dialtone still tries to charge me for one of their IP addresses even though I havent been a customer for over a year, trying to cancel with them was like trying to pull teeth. It took over a dozen emails, faxes and voice mails over a period of weeks and they still charged me for months. I finally had to file a complaint
with the BBB to cancel with them.

I have many horror stories that I won't get into now but never had any problem whatsoever with Interserver.
They reinstalled an OS within a day without charge, didnt even have to ask, they volunteered. When I did cancel with them (due to VDI's problem, nothing to do with them) they replied immediately and thanked me for being a customer. No problems whatsoever. They may not be the most communicative company out there but they get the job done.

I have dealt with interserver, and I believe this is just something they've overlooked. Mike is a very nice guy that would do anything for you (at least for me). In my case, he even forgot to bill me and I needed to remind him about him. He helped me quite a lot (all of them are free too). Try to talk to him once again, I am pretty sure you can get out of this. He is an awesome guy!

best of luck ...

cheers,
