If you're interested please email me to order (asher@acenet-enterprises.net). I request that only interested buyers email me or ask their question right here.

Please remember that these are limited in supply and will take upto a week to setup but are worth the wait. :)

I want the price:
20 => 80

Bye

Asher S

20 (5400 RPM) - 40 (5400 RPM) = $29 one time

I forgot to mention, that all upgrades have to be stated at the time of the order, if you want an upgrade weeks later the price for the upgrade will be different and you'll need to contact me for a price quote.

Best Regards,
Asher.

Great... Can you;
Price the 800Mhz for a 6Month and a 12 Month rent-to-own? (I like thoes).
And is there a way to cut back on the setup and add to the monthly?

Asher S

IP to ping 66.232.6.11
By the way just so that you all know, these arent huge tower case they're slim optimzed casing. Which are *not* cheap.

Smartlmp, please contact me off forums and we'll discuss your needs, i believe i could cut the setup but the monthly would go up by quite a bit :)

Question re: this server.
512 MB or 1024 MB Ram.

Either 2nd 40 GB hd
or 2 x 20 GB Hds instead of 40 GB hd.

Cost of additional IPs.

Asher S
03-17-2002, 01:10 AM
These are custom build servers.

Become1: We dont have any racked and online otherwise i'd have given a file to download

Bigsmooth:

512 mb ram = $159 (one time)
1024 mb ram = $329 (one time)

You cannot have dual harddisks in this casing (since it doesnt support it). But you can get a larger disk.

IPs cost an additional $1.99 one time, and there are bulk discounts available.

asher.

Why does this matter to a potential customer?

A huge tower would cost more for you to colocate, but from a customer's point of view a huge tower for a dedicated server means better cooling. I don't know of any advantage of a 1U or 2U case over a tower case other than the space savings for the host.

Asher S

These casings dont have any problems for cooling. The reason i mentioned this is because people know that these aren't cheap servers that are being offered.

Thank you,
Asher

Okay - some questions!

Firstly - what level of support can I expect from your company?

Because I am a total newbie when it comes to Dedicated hosting is there detailed instructions on how to set everything up?

And to everyone else: has anyone used this company before and found them to be reliable?

Thanks!

Timbo,

I was a customer of the company ^Kyo used to work for (as far as I know, still does).

They couldn't keep their servers up for more than a few days at a time. When they were up, they were either horribly slow (always blamed on the datacenter - don't know if they're using the same datacenter for these servers or not), or certain components would be down at any given time. They claimed they never had these issues with their Linux servers (I had a Windows plan with them), but they made a lot of claims that proved untrue.

Customer service was the absolute WORST I've ever experienced from any host (at the time, Asher was the main customer service rep), and I've been with quite a few. Here's an example:

This offer is valid for a week more after that there will be a price increase.

And charlie not to start a flame war with you again however this is not adehost, these servers are in a completely different NOC. And our customer support at adehost is no way horrible.

Thank you,
Asher.

ADEhost

Please keep ADEHOST out of this. I'm no way shape or form involved in anything but ADEHOST.

Asher still helps me in the 12am to 9 am. And I'm happy with his help to me.

in reference to the comments made, would you please date them accordingly. I don't think my service is that bad. I reply at worst in 8 hours. and I'm normaly awake from 10am NY time to 2:30 am NY time, I reply most of the time within 30 minutes or less. I take my late lunch and dinner like every human so what give's with you trying to make fun of my service.

Mike

Thank you Mike for clearing this up :)

Back to my original post (before it went offtopic), please post here or email me your questions (try not to PM). I'd also like add that our bandwidth is now fully redundant we have Epik as a backup.

Thanks and best regards,
Asher.

We're currently out of stock on that one, but one or two *are* available but without the CPanel license (at a much cheaper price ;)).

The case a system is in doesn't signify whether a system is cheap or not... as long as it's power supply is stable.

What determines if a system is cheap is the hardware inside... whether it's cheap motherboards or not, 5400 rpm drives, etc. which from your description is not what you're offering.. sounds like you got a good system there.

Okay... here's some questions for ya to help elucidate your deal...

What's the price of the machine above without the Cpanel license?

Do you expect to have any with Cpanel licenses before the end of the deal?

Does the XP use DDR memory, or is it using a Via KM133 or SIS735 chipset that supports PC133?

Max memory the motherboard can take?

You gave price quotes previously for upgrading the memory and HD of the 49.99 offer. i.e., 20 gig to 80 gig. that kind of thing. As this unit comes with a bigger HD, and more memory, can you quote the upgrade price from these as the basis? And do you use good Quantum designed Max d740x series, or modern WD 7200rpm drives? (and definitely not IBM? :))

When do you expect to have an IP to ping or trace?

I know you do tech support, but do you know lots about networking, too? Especially - Do you know how to tune your routes?

Asher S
03-21-2002, 11:14 AM
Hi,

Without CPanel that box sells for 89.99 which is a fair price :)

IP to ping/trace: 66.232.6.83 (it'll die at the end since there is no server attached to it). If you need an IP with a server attached please contact me off-forums.

This is not a limited deal (the XP one) its not ending any time soon. And yes we'll have CPanel quite shortly!

The XP is using DDR memory. The max memory it takes is 1GB.

Yes I can quote the price on that basis, only a little difference it would make, since we're not seeking to make profit off the RAM and disks :) Our disks are 7200rpm UDMA Westerd Digital drives.

We are partnered with a top quality datacenter (Layerone) and outsource this bit of work. We know that routing and switching requires experience hence we have chosen the experts to do it for us and we can concentrate on providing you an excellent service with great support :)

If you have any additional questions please let me know!

Best Regards,
Asher.
