For my new site, TADI-Project, I am currently looking for hosting and I was wondering whether this site could be hosted in exchange for, for example, a small banner which advertises the host on each page of the site.

The name Technological Advancement Documentation and Innovation Project (TADI-Project) gives away the purposes of the site: Documenting existing technological and scientific projects and trying to stimulate them, as well by doing research (The Innovation part), but the purpose will also be to get new technological projects running (also part of the Innovation).
There will also be a small forum.
The first few years, the documentation side will be the most important.
