View Full Version : best registrar for multiple domains
kgyuemrznm 04-27-2005, 04:25 PM Which is the best registrar for managing multiple domains?
I'd like sensible prices, and a single login for all domains.
dns would be good too, but not required.
THANKS.
have you looked at godaddy?
JSpired 04-27-2005, 04:57 PM I use NameCheap and am happy, but there are many to choose from and no real "best."
Disgruntled 04-27-2005, 04:58 PM If you want privacy protection then Namecheap has an advantage over Godaddy by charging less for their Whoisguard than for Godaddy's Domainsbyproxy. Also you can buy units of Whoisguard in bulk, further reducing the average cost per domain for privacy protection.
A unit of Whoisguard is not applied to the domain automatically at time of purchase. It is up to the registrant to apply it to the domain in the control panel.
dmaven 04-27-2005, 04:58 PM I have 6000+ names and RegisterFly works for me. It really depends on what kind of tools, sub-user access or security restrictions you need in place. Each registrar varies differently
morehost 04-28-2005, 04:15 AM I use directi.com and it is quiet good :)
Register as a reseller and you get wonderful pricing.. :)

:) Actually I have tried several registrars... and am really happy with their services.. esp for the price..
and if you goto directi forums, you will see there is a lot of pressure on them to increase their min prepayment from $75 ... till that doesnt happens.. directi is really good and very affordable :)
godaddy's pricing structure is little confusing.. and i really dont prefer paying more than whats boldly advertised..
enom is good too. but cost is high.. but they have an advantage of supporting so many different extensions..
At the end its all personal preference and comfort :)
sharpnose 04-30-2005, 07:44 AM I completely agree with domainwala
If someone wants to register 10 or more domains paying $75 to directi and going for their reseller package is the best option.
Namecheap is also good considering the Free whoisguard service they provide.
The Spook 04-30-2005, 05:40 PM Namecheap.com is king!
Masud 05-02-2005, 04:17 AM Registerfly / namecheap / directi are some good options.
I have my domains with Registerfly and I am quite happy with them.
I have a reseller package with directi but I use them only for my local clients.
FIAHOST 05-02-2005, 08:51 AM With directi the minimum deposit is US $675 as indicated in this page:
http://www.directi.com/resellers/pricing/
Bakie 05-02-2005, 04:52 PM Try out godaddy, namecheap registerfly. They are all quite good and they all should be good for you. Registerfly has a very nice domain interface.
Masud 05-02-2005, 05:46 PM Nope edel, thats wrong. You can register domains without paying any single penny also.
But the prices would be a little higher like 6.99 instead of 6.75
Please check the table carefully.
babypowder 05-03-2005, 04:32 AM i like http://www.needa.com eventhough on the site they advertise it for more they give it to me less because they do some price match. Support is always On as well. Ived been with them since 1999 and i have couple of domains from them
