Well as part of my AUP, "Pornography and sex-related material is prohibited." Our newest customer registered a domain name involving sex and will most likely make a site relating to pornography. As the customer has not made a site yet, I have no reason to shut the account down. If the site becomes pornographic and I shut the customer down, how does that work with the payment for the month?

If a customer breaks the TOS then they aren't entitled to a refund IMHO as they broke the contract between you and them

You can keep the money and say they violated your AUP/TOS or you can just return the money, and tell them they are not allowed to host that type of sites. Then ask him to move some where else. Really up to you on that since he/she is the one breaking the rules.

Actually not yet; do you have this stated in your TOS? If not you should. You need to clearly state what happens when your TOS is broken. I will assume that you have this and that it states that if they break your TOS you have the right to close their account and no refund will be given.

Actually you have to do what is stated in your TOS / AUP. If it says that you give the money back then you do. If it states that you dont give the money back...well I think you get the idea...

Bring it to their attention before you just go closing the site down and keeping the persons money.

Rather than "presuming" what they might do with the site, pick up the phone and call them or drop them an email and ask :) It could possibly save you some time and problems in the long run. Being proactive rather than reactive is always the best course of action imo :)

I will agree with the person above me. Let them know that you were looking at their domain and it seems like one that might point to a site that violates your AUP. Send them a link to your AUP and ask them what they were planning on hosting.

Good suggestions.
