Hi,
I currently host several domains (>10 with PHP and MySql) and need to relocate my customers to a new host.
I made an analisys trying to find the more reliable and best value for money hoster as i plan to expand soon.
I found 3 of them:
- Rochen
- Page Zone
- HostExcellence
The three seem to be good for their support with a little edge to HostExcellence for their bundle (BUT i did not find any user experience on this one).
Would someone have any info that could help me in my choosing burden ?
Please :stickout: :)

Have you tried doing a search on the forums for HostExcellence or asking them for customer testimonials?

Seems hosting is very much about the personalities of the owners, I've known the owners of Rochen (Chris) and Page-Zone (Jim) for years now. They're both upright and good hosts with a very good reputation for value and customer service. Flip a coin. :)

I have been with Rochen over a year and the customer support is excellent. I would say go with Rochen. :)

For anybody interested, here are my conclusions:
- I discarded HostExcellence because despite their attractive offering they did not offer full control over the VDS, neither the ability to use advanced features like symlinks and such.
I then had to choose between the other two.
My clients are mostly spain based.
Testing both from Spain got me under the result that Page-Zone was "nearer" in terms of hoping than Rochen (11 hops intead of 15)
BUT i then had a serious look to specifics:
- backup and data security: Rochen seems more serious about it (even if i do not doubt that PageZone is also)
- addons: i found a serious addon in Rochen which won me out: the Clientexec software that allows me to manage my customers (multilingual) with a billing AND trouble ticket system.
That seems wonderful along their reputation.
So here i go..... beware !!!!! :D :D :D

Careful with that, as you're probably testing the hops to their main server, where their site is hosted from, and not their client servers, where your site would be hosted from.
Many hosts actually place their site + helpdesk etc in another datacenter, so that if anything happens to the network where their client servers are, they can still keep communicating with you, through that possible network issue.

At the moment our premium plans are being setup on servers at The Planet, we do however have client servers in two other DC's aside from The Planet.

my current problem is that Rochen is a little far away in terms of Hops from Spain (~140ms on tracert).
I am also reviewing a european provider (with less services and higher prices) which is a lot nearer (<90ms)
