Hello to you all
I am having trouble with the quality of the the small text that is being displayed through IE.
The text appears very patchy with the characters having parts left off all over the place.
I tried getting update but after waiting for 30 min and no action from microsoft server I gave up..... (I will keep trying)
Any clues to a solution for this problem will save me guessing what I am reading:)
Regards

If IE6 is being really annoying, an option is to downgrade it back to IE5.5 or whatever previous version you're running.
With IE6, I've gotten nothing but annoyance and it can't even view some of the CSS effects (some image filters, I think) that IE5.5 *could* view. Anyways, the previous versions of IE (5.x+) aren't all that bad, and I don't see what IE6 has to offer on IE5.x that makes it essential to upgrade, anyways.

there's not much reason to upgrade really. I tend to do it just to stay up with upgrades. IE6 is fine once it settles in if you keep up the maintainence of your system, but if you're happy with 5.5 (or 5.0 for that matter), just stick with it.
I haven't seen any of the errors mention beside a few small CSS quirks that seem to change from computer to computer

I downloaded the update patch and installed it and still the same problem. I will install one of the older versions and see if this fixes my problem.
IE 6 was working fine for me since I installed it, it is just in the last week I have had these troubles?
Thanks for the reply's and I will post my solution should I find one:)
Cheers

Are you using XP? This may have something to do with ClearType. I don't have any problem with IE, but my MS Word highlighted text are hard to read.

I am using Windows 2000 Peter..
This is strange that it is only the text that is broken (small text only) all images and all larger fonts are spot on .
Well I will work it out one day.
Thanks

Well I fixed it and it seemed to be a problem with windows rather that IE.( well I guess they have some files that are shared)
Anyways Control Panel>Display>Settings>Advanced Then changed the Fonts to large then reset the computer. After reboot I changed back to small fonts and now every thing works like a treat:) :) :)
Oh I makes me happy my system is running good!!
Cheers
