Hi,

After moving some of my RaQ servers & 1U clone linux servers behind Firewall, everything is fine for the 1U clone linux servers, I can send and recevied packet thru the firewall.

When I moved the RaQ servers behind the firewall, did some test on the servers (tested in the Data Center network and the servers is behind firewall), so far I can access the servers with no problem, but when I test on external terminal, I can't access the servers at all, can't even "ping" it seem the servers can't route the packet out. I check the firewall configuration, it's setup correctly. I ask the technical person in the data center about the problem, and told me they not so sure what's wrong with my RaQ servers :angry:

When I use my IE to check it shows Error 500 blah blah blah, not sure what is that mean???

Any solutions for that kind of problem???

 :(

There are quite a few things that could be wrong, so this is really a shot in the dark...but start with basic troublshooting.

You don't state what type of firewall you're using, but on those ports it allows traffic on, it should be transparent to the RaQ just the same as to the other servers.

On your RaQ IP's, kill all the rules. Does it make a difference?

If not, take the firewall out of the loop. Bypass it entirely. That should obviously make a difference.

Get your ISP admin to help you run some tests to determine where the hold-up is with the firewall in place, he should be able to do that in his sleep. If he can't figure this out in about 10 mins, I'd go somewhere else, because he's incompetent.

Good luck

I've seen this before. Check the gateway, and reboot, and check the gatway again. I'm not saying you forgot to, but I sure have. :-)

Thanks for the help guys, drewnick like you said, I reboot the servers and wait for almost 3 hours, then the servers appear online. I can see, is alive. :D
Guess I need to :uzi: the ISP admin, what a jerk.
