View Full Version : Did a 5 Day test W/O Varilogix

We've been a dedicated customer of James at Varilogix for almost 6 or 7 months now, and we've never disabled Varilogix since we've had there wonderful services. Well, as I've read some threads by WHT Members, some said that they would never sign up with a host that requires call verification. So, what I did was disable Varilogix from our ordering system for 5 days, and I must admit it was scary.

Now, I didn't get any fraud orders (mostly because of all the threats we make to people attempting fraud orders, and ip warnings and such), however when we did get new signups, I began to worry rather or not it was valid. I did backup checks and all, and some matched out, and some didn't, and which the once that didn't look good to me were actually legit orders :|. If I suspected anything from them, I always sent a friendly e-mail welcoming them to our company, and asking for a reply. If I get a returned mail, automatic suspension. No reply, suspension.

In time, it takes several hours just to make sure all new signups are legit, and James, CEO of Varilogix did tell me " I know that once you get hit with a charge back you will be right back here moaoning about how you should have never stopped :-) and you know who will be here for you to let you cry on their shoulder right..... and I will be saying I told you so all that time too :p" - James of Varilogix. Well, I didn't get any fraud orders, but I was panicing all the time.

From this little experiment that I did, I can say that it was 100% less stressful to have James and his team screen all my customers for me, instead of doing serious background checking. Each time you get a new signup, there is absolutely no doubt that it is the real thing, and you know you don't have to do intense background checking.

Varilogix Status: ENABLED

I feel your pain.

I had to process around 100 orders during the months or so that Varilogix went offline in the begining of this year - that month was pure torture.

James is doing a great job, and as long as I am processing hosting orders I plan on using his services :)

receiving the email from the varilogix system that the call they made had passed gives me more assurance that the order is legitimate.

kudos to james and his varilogix fraud call order verification system!

What happens to phone calls made to users on dial up who can't answer it?

Actually Staedtler,

You have to think about whether they may leave there home after they sign up. Varilogix makes the call DURING the signup, which means they WILL be at there home or business during the time it calls. But if you call AFTER they sign up, well it's a possibility that they may not be home. That's just another reason why Varilogix is good :)

Doesn't make sense why Varlogix would scare some customers away. I don't see why a legit customer would have any problem with a automated system calling them to verify their information, but maybe that is just me...

Ken, I don't know either. Potential customers should be happy that we who use fraud calling systems such as Varilogix are making sure that the servers stays secure, as most fraudulent orders are spammers who flood the server with e-mails and can even cause it to go down.
