To celebrate the addition of yet another GigE line here at Steadfast Networks we will be offering an unmetered server special. We are offering these prices because it will be 100% outgoing Cogent, but don't let that scare you. We have done extensive testing here in Chicago and have found Cogent to be quite stable. We have also taken measures, which are listed later on, to offer ultimate reliability.

Our offer is also better than ServerMatrix in many regards. Here are some points showing how our setup is superior to that of ServerMatrix's unmetered servers.

1) Incoming routes go over multiple providers, BtN, Savvis, and Level(3) in addition to Cogent.

2) If there is an outage over Cogent the traffic will be re-routed over BtN and Savvis. You do not need to worry about outages due to a single-homed connection.

3) The lines are NOT congested, and unlike ServerMatrix, if we need another GigE we can truly get it up within a matter of days, not weeks or months. That is one of the advantages of being in a facility such as Equinix.

4) We offer personalized support by a knowledgable staff.

5) We offer a 100% power and network uptime SLA and we honor it.

If you need a test IP, use this: 205.138.198.14

When will you have the 1000GB servers back in stock?

There will be more available of everything except Xeons when we hear back from ARIN about our new IP block, which should be sometime next week. Though for Xeons, as I said, we should be getting a shipment of Dell 1850's in in a couple weeks.

That's really a very nice deal, Karl! Absolutely better than SM unmetered server offering.

If this sale goes well the offer may stick around awhile. If not, this may be a one-time deal, so I'd order soon if I were you :-)

Well, as was noted, incoming is over all the providers we have, not just Cogent.

Karl, I'm seriously digging on that signup form for your special. Is it based on open source somewhere?

Well, it is the order form we use for all our dedicated systems. It has proven to be quite flexible, only allowing people to pick the bandwidth options and servers we actually offer under the certain networks, the right control panels under the right OSes, etc.

We developed it completely in house. If you have any suggestions on making it better, feel free to make them.

Hey Karl, congratulations on everything.

Your deal caught my interest, do you plan on adding in the bargain level servers to the Cogent Output network?

We might be in the future, but I honestly doubt there will be much of a discount on those over the current pricing, likely $30 a month less.

The current pricing of which exactly? You have different packages with the bargain level hardware. Oh did you mean the current pricing of the P4 2.8?

I just figured that since you guys are offering this current deal which is similar to your competitors, that you might be offering the same low and high end versions with similar pricing as well?

I love the amount of bandwidth, but I cannot justify the price increase of this current deal for the CPU that I dont need

The pricing would be about $30 a month lower than the 2.8GHz pricing, so $269 a month for a 2.4GHz Celeron system. If you would be interested in that pricing just email us at sales@steadfastnetworks.com and we'll see what we can put together.

We aren't looking at matching what other people are doing; we are looking at putting offers together that generate us the needed revenue and profit margins while still offering a great deal to the customer.

Our costs per server are also higher than the likes of SM, with us being located in an Equinix facility as well as not having the massive quantity discounts on servers. Though, if you asked me, being a smaller provider gives us more possitives than negatives.

We are currently testing a new DDoS system. The old one we had been testing did not meet our standards. This has delayed it somewhat, but once it is offered fully, we promise it will be worth the wait.

Really nice offer, especially coming from SteadFast. You can't go wrong with these guys, the network is amazing, support is great, uptime superb. You'll be hard pressed to find anything about them you don't like, it just dosen't exist.

Yep, however I believe the ip I pinged was Cogent even so the latency was awesome. Cogent really has improved lately!
