Has anyone else had trouble with Medial Player 7? Last time I installed it it dicked up my computer. A couple of days after I nuked it I found out the reason why! I guess my other question is if anyone knows if the problem has been fixed, and if it is safe to download now?

Never expericenced the problem myself, but I just redownloaded it a week ago after a reformat and haven't had any problems.

I read that it would overwrite a file that was used in the cd burner software. So after I installed it I could only use the safe mode.

I haven't had any problems with it specifically; but IMHO opinion, compared to the stable, reliable prior version (6.0), it just plain *sucks* -- and those who know me know I use that word judiciously and accurately.
It's slow, they've chopped out features I really used a great deal, I'll be danged if I can figure out how to get it to instantiate multiply, and the skins all come from a family with dysfunctionality as their major asset in life.

I tried WMP 7 once with a Win98 PC. Never experienced such a worthless program. It's slow, unreliable, uses to much RAM and the skins don't even come close to those of Winamp. I would even say that Sonique is better if that program hadn't crashed my PC multiple times...
Still using 6.2, but running Win2k :)
