How did you attract your first customers?

Once you get enough customers, you can buy out some ad space on one of those host directories and attract even more potential customers. Then a lot of our customers were interested in hosting their sites, and we started offering the hosting service with plenty of customers already waiting to order. Since then, partnerships with web designers and promotional companies has been the key.
