hie !
I just would like to know why is normal hosting is more expensive than reseller hosting…I don’t see the picture!!

For example at surfspeedy

Normal hosting
2000 Disk Space - MB
65 Data Transfer – GB

is only $4.95

then
reseller hosting
4000 Disk Space - MB
65 Data Transfer – GB

is only $22.95

Can some one explain please?
Thanks

From that it looks like the reseller hosting is more expensive unless I am missing something...

Actually, reseller is more expensive than normal shared.

The clear answer is: number of domains and system resources allocated.

Reseller accounts come with unlimited domains and a lot of different resources. Resellers can set a different panel for each site.

And the most important thing, resellers buy hosting to make money!

Normal hosting is cheaper because the overselling margin (if we can talk about such a concept) is wider. Due to the nature of their business, resellers will use close to what they've bought, so the host cannot oversell as much.

For a minute there, I thought I had my philosophy screwed up! I have been a host for more than 2 years and my Reseller price is always more expensive than my Shared Hosting price.

Now someone just came about and said that "Why is Shared Hosting CHEAPER than Reseller Hosting". I went... OH MY GOD, Did I miss something or did the entire Hosting Business change without me knowing? LOL
