Yup, registrarstats.com (don't know how reliable or accepted it is,
though) indicates Go Daddy has overtaken NetSol by at least 180k
domains and still counting.
I wonder how NetSol's people feel about this? :D

registrarstats.com is reliable, its only 24hrs for webhosting.info/registrars/top-registrars/global/ to be updated too :D
amazing! all this from small ads?!
btw if you add wild west domains it will overtake them by around 2mil :dgrin:
Really nice statistics. Interesting to have a look.

Godaddy certainly knows how to grab marketshare and fast. My hats off to them

Wow, I knew GoDaddy was catching up, but I didn't expect NetSol to be overtaken so quickly. It's also interesting to note that MelbourneIT/INWW has recently taken over 5th place from Register.com (probably due to the fact that Yahoo resells for them).

That is good news for Godaddy. I am starting to believe it all comes to the nicely formatted homepage where all information is in easy reach.

just looked a register.com and i'm shocked,
first thing, it took me good few minutes to find the prices. don't you think they should show them on the front page. I guess thats because they know they will drive enough people away.
$35 /year do people really pay that much for domains?
$200 to move the domain to someone else damn

I wonder what made them raise their domain prices.
Premium Web Site Forwarding $49.00/year per domain name

Register.com went down a ranking. Their high prices I am sure is the main reason

Looks like they just dropped pricing recently
(first number is old price, second number new price)
1 year $35 $30 • 2 years $70 $40 • 3 years $95 $50 • 5 years $150 $60 • 10 years $299 $100
