If this is in the wrong forum, please forgive. But I have currently accepted a job for a client for a redesign of his entire website. Before I can quote him, I need to get a feel for what he needs so in a nutshell, I need a spec.

Currently, I am writing my own spec but I got to thinkin there might be others out there. Do you make up your own, or do you have a pre-made form? If you have a pre-made form, can you point me in the direction?

Or better yet, what questions do you like to ask - currently, I'm writing the "general section" of the spec. So, I'm putting down:

a) site purpose
b) intended audience
c) percieved audience's technical ability
d) reason for visiting the site
e) competitor's name and website
f) things you like about your competition site
g) things your dislike about your competition's site

That's it so far - any help is appreciated.
