Hi everyone. My first post, hooray!

I'm a reseller and I host small personal sites and small weblogging sites. I would like to be able to offer pre-installed scripts such as GreyMatter (weblogging script) and MegaBook (guestbook) but I'm not entirely sure how.

I use WHM and CPanel4. I know there's a skeleton directory that gets re-created everytime an account is setup and that's where you put the pre-installed script, however my problem is with the server paths. Each client's server paths would be different. Is there anyway to make it so that once the skeleton directory is re-created and an account is setup all the paths will be what they should and ready to go?

Thanks for any help,
Alexa

Perhaps an alternative would be to offer a service available on your site where the user could input his/her account info and have the script be automatically customized and installed for him/her.

This would require an installation CGI script, but that could be done written by any good programmer or probably found online somwhere ready to go.

Just an idea,

tell people that to setup their scripts they have to go in and type their USEERNAME HERE or something.
