View Full Version : Something better than WHMAP?
LucasGE 04-14-2005, 05:57 PM I was wondering if there is some better application to allow clients order and get installed automaticlly. I've seen ClientExec but I would like to know if it's actually better than WHMAP. I dislike WHMAP for the good amount of delays on new versions, a lot of the accounts are marked as incomplete when the actual payment has been done, it doesn't seem too stable and orginized to me. What about ClientExec? Would it suit me?
empresasdehosting 04-14-2005, 06:55 PM why dont you see www.awbs.com ( drams )
Im using clientexec too, and the customer interface is great...
LucasGE 04-14-2005, 07:08 PM I've been searching and looks like most people recommend ClientExec. So it might be my choice. I have contacted about the refugee special, lets see what happens.
Does anyone know if there is something to convert from WHMAP to ClientExec though?
n3tpreneur 04-14-2005, 08:41 PM you can try HSPC from SW-SOFT. It has very intensive billing system.
If you use Plesk. It will be ideal.
LucasGE 04-14-2005, 08:50 PM I use cPanel.
PTNHosting 04-14-2005, 08:54 PM ClientExec is good, but does not have domain registration interated, but has a very atractive interface, and is very simple to use.
LucasGE 04-14-2005, 09:00 PM I'm not interested in offering domain names, at least not yet.
PTNHosting 04-14-2005, 09:18 PM So ClientExec is a good option for you.
Haddy 04-15-2005, 12:45 AM If your looking for continual updates with the software ClientExec would not be my first choice. Check out the forum on the last actual version upgrade, its been awhile.
May want to check out ubersmith, not sure if it intergrates with cpanel but I am sure that could be intergrated by their team ($80/hr but for something that can save you time its priceless as we all know time = money.)
nrmartin 04-15-2005, 09:28 AM ClientExec is good. But the support and business communication is very bad and unprofessional. They are hardly online for help, they don't return phone calls, and if you express frustration they won't respond to your emails. We were going to get a license, but the way they are with communication we got turned off. So we're going with whmap.
Adrnalnrsh 04-15-2005, 03:12 PM WHMAP isnt bad at all. It's what I use and the support is excellent. As for the delay of V3, the second stage of beta testing starts today. I am actually one of the testers.
Chris Gwynne 04-15-2005, 04:22 PM I've just started using WHMAP, granted I have no real accounts yet, just personal one's I've had setup by people to sift through the system see how it runs. No qualms yet. Can't wait till I take it live and have real clients run through it! :)

Could you please show some screens or a demo to see how it is, what has improved?
nrmartin 04-16-2005, 08:47 PM I'd like to use whmap. but my server guy still has not gotten the key code to install it.
Rman2003 04-16-2005, 10:22 PM Nobody has mentioned ModernBill. Well, I'll go ahead and vote for it. Go ModernBill! ;)

whmap v3 loaded with all the plugins you can put in!!
you have a payment processor, or a domain reseller account with api support, or you have multiple order forms, or whatever else you want that's not supported by any of the current billing systems? write some php code (or have someone do it for you) and plug it in to whmap v3!
whmap v3 has been designed to allow you (or your programmer) to plug in to it's highly modular design and this extends the system far beyond what it can currently do.
still think it's not the best billing system?

Ya.. except for the fact that it is still not a real product that anyone can buy, install and use...
I believe they are still a month or so away from v3 release. If you want to discuss fictional software, then be sure to include those from other vendors... lol.
Adrnalnrsh 04-17-2005, 01:03 AM As far as I am concerned it's not "fictional" since I have been testing since yesterday. However it has not been released!
PTNHosting 04-17-2005, 01:05 AM I am trying DRAMS, the new Version AWBS, looks very good, and has interation with Directi domain register, the system is based on a Choping Cart, looks very good, will try it out anf then let you know about it.

Show me where I can purchase and download it. Until then, it is just another "soon to come" software. Keep in mind that other billing software vendors have beta releases available to a small group of testers, too.... ;)
I'm sure this WHM AP v3 is great stuff. But until it's available for purchase and download, it is comparable only to something like ModernBill v5 software, which is also in beta, and also supposed to be the next best thing, etc...
nrmartin 04-17-2005, 08:46 AM I don't like modernbill because it is too complicated to install and setup.
BeYourOwnWebHost 04-17-2005, 08:51 AM Have you tried phpCoin?

I am a customer and I found my experience with the ClientExec team to be the opposite. Whenever I needed help and sent in support tickets they were very prompt and helpful.
