Hello everyone,

Being new here, hope this is where I should post this question. (Please move it, if not... :o )

I started about a year ago, thinking of reselling. 4 months ago, I obtained a real live host.

I have 200 mgs of space and nothing to put on it... :( Imagine that will you! ( Working on a few sites now )

Now this may cause me tremendous pain and ridicule, but i am going to ask anyway...
Would it be advantageous if I was to setup a simple yet effective site geared to giving away free webspace?

I know, and dont intend for this to be any grandioso undertaking. This may be a total hairball idea, just tell me... I'll suck it up and go about life as usual! :D

I would appreciate any hints or suggestions the lot of you may have, be it good or bad... makes no difference. I am prone to abuse so am prepared for that as well. ;)

Shoot, I would even give a webmaster the space/bandwidth to maintain a few of their sites.
I am just hungry for the experience and knowledge.
(Here again, maybe another lame-brain ideal, so shoot me already! :D

What I've seen around here is post something in the Special Offers area for free web accounts.. people will usually jump on those right away and will give you plenty of work.. :D

You might also try to find some religious and charity organisations in your area that could benefit from a small, free website. They can usually find one of their volunteers to design and maintain the site.

Then later, when you do start to sell, you might be able to use them as a reference for your hosting business.

Not a bad thing to mention to St. Peter when you end up at those Pearly Gates, either. :D

Actually I have an organization which are having things prepared... images, content, and the like.
They are also deciding which portal they would prefer... phpwebsite, or postnuke.

I will be calling upon the church where my letter still remains, to explore this possibility with them as well.

I may actually be a year or more, before attempting to do any reselling (for real). Reading over the boards here, has only increased my desire to learn all I can, running the gammit from design... up to server admin stuff
