Hello all,

I currently have a merchant account with Freeauth.net and ever since I found out they were charging me a hidden annual fee of $45.00 and they wouldn't let me cancel till November '05, I began looking to switch to another merchant account provider for my successful online retail business, PlaJapan.com. I'm looking to transfer to a new merchant account provider preferably one that is highly recommended and has the latest standards in fraud prevention security and protection like Verified by Visa and Securecode by Mastercard installed.

I've done some reading about it from this article from Australia about fraud prevention:
aic.gov.au/publications/rpp/60/section4.html

I'm also looking into CDG Commerce because lots of people here have given them good reviews and praise. Is the new rate CDG posted for the WHT promotion updated to include the recent interchange fee increase?

Thank you all for your input.

Hi asmhaxor,

In regards to how you would integrate VBV & MSC, you would need to use a gateway that supports Cardholder Authentication and then you would need to request your merchant account to be setup on a network that is compatible with it.

For instance, you could use Authorize.net and enable Cardholder Authentication on that system and then have your merchant account setup on the Vital front-end network.

Also, in response to your question about the CDGcommerce program - yes, our listed rates do reflect the April 2005 increases.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm definitely switching over to CDGcommerce in Nov of 2005.

It says on the Cardholder Authentication Programs page here: authorize.net/solutions/merchantsolutions/merchantservices/cardholderauthentication/ that I can sign up for the Cardholder Authentication Programs in the Merchant Interface. But when I login, I can't find it. Is it restricted by my Merchant Account Reseller Freeauth.net?

I think this link provides a much better description of VbV

Ok, so will you (CDG) support VBV & MSC and setup my CDG merchant account on a compatible network like Vital or FDC Nashville?

I'm definitely looking to transfer my Merchant Account business to you but I want to know if you can provide the interface for the VBV & MSC system.

I can do all my own programming in PHP, etc. for any extra modules or components. So I don't need any 3rd party software solutions.

Thank you for your reply. I'm definitely looking forward to switching to CDG.

Hi asmhaxor,

Yes - in answer to your question, we can setup merchant accounts on the Vital front-end network which is compatible with VBV/MSC.
