I've received many hosting offers and from various companies in the past few days. the plans are great and all but i don't know which company i should go with.
they are:
- alwayswebhosting
- ecommercediscovery
- versehost
i need comments, both negative and positive, on their reliability, customer/ tech support, and so on. i'll be paying by the year and have to make sure that they'll be around for a long time :)
let me know and thank you :D

out of that list, I'd recommend ecommercediscovery.....I have heard some good things about them........I have never heard of the other two hosts...

good luck

I don't have personal experience with the other two, but AlwaysWebHosting is very good so far for me. I opened an account a few weeks ago, my site is still in development there.

I just responded to another inquiry about them, but I'll repeat it here. Ronnie is very professional, but very nice at the same time. He is quick to respond to a support request, and is very patient. He seems like he really wants to do a good job and cares about the customer. I like the server setup, things seem to be stable and I think I am going to be there for awhile! I recommend them :)

I recommend ecommercediscovery, have been hosting since August and have always recieved friendly support and customer service, and they have very reliable and frequentley upgraded servers.

eCommerceDiscovery offered a good reseller plan to me. I asked for several resellers to contact to verify reliability, support and etc. Josh replied with this on 3-16-02

"I will have to get back to you on this one in about 24-48 hours. I am sure all resellers are all very satisfied with our service. "

It is now 8 days later and no references provided. If he can't reply to simple reference check, then I am surely not going to trust him with my accounts.

Give him another email, I'm sure he wouldn't have done this on purpose.

Every host has to respect the privacy of their customers. Perhaps they have e-mailed them and received no responce?

Either way, if you did become a customer of theirs would you appreciate e-mails from prospective clients asking you how you found being a reseller?

Just look at from all angles ;)

I absolutely agree on the privacy issue. That isn't the point. The point is there was no follow up email even stating that, if it was the case.

Also.... as a potential client who -wants- to give someone money I shouldn't have to badger them to take it.

At best it is poor salemanship. At worse it is an indication of total disorganization.

Point taken.
