We are looking for someone who has Radius Server software for 2000 Server or NT that they are not using anymore. We need to buy something like this since there are not any free versions on the net that we can find.

What we are trying to do is resell nationwide dialup accounts through a provider that uses our server for authentication. Some of the software that I have seen is RadTac and Emerald to name a few.

We thought we would try this first prior to buying it outright in case someone is not using thiers anymore. If you are Linux savy and can program something like this with a GUI for our tech people for ease of adding accounts, and checking them, we would accept something like that also.

I hope this is the right forum, and if not, I am sorry, not sure where else to put this at......

I believe RADIATOR works on NT and Win2k. But, don't quote me. :)

As far as using Linux, it's not hard.. and a web admin isn't painful to write. I did a basic one, last July in about 10 hours, and it also managed e-mail.

One thing you need to be aware of is, what are the requirements of the RADIUS software. E.g. does it need to support Ascend Binary format, since some don't.

Windows 2000 Advanced Server (Windows 2000 Server too?)has Internet Authentication Service (ISA) which is a RADIUS server. Why you're looking for something else to put on top of Windows?

We wanted more than needed a graphical type radius for the general tech support people that are not all that skilled in the adding and removing of dial-up accounts. The easier I can make it for them, the less my training costs are going to be in the long run. That is the reason for this search.

Now take it, we are not going to have general support doing major things to the radius, just mainly the addition and removals, of the accounts. Administration will be doing the rest.

***Starting to think I am in into something I was trying to avoid getting into..... :kaioken: ***

Not relevant to the topic, but I thought you might want to know: the proper forum is the related offer and request forum.

A moderator should move this soon.
