I requested an enhancement at support.cpanel.net. I hope it will soon be implemented. For now, you have to create the account. then go to reseller center, click add reseller privleges, select the domain, click reseller center again, go to edit resellers dropdown box, select your newly added reseller, then in the following page, select how you would like his/her account to be controlled. Then you edit there dns zone, and add there nameservers.. Blech.. I hope nick makes this easier soon, and allows you to create a 'Reseller Plan' with preset settings. :cartman: jmc67 03-10-2002, 09:10 PM Oops!! What I meant was... What are the steps on creating a client on a reseller account. Sorry for the mishap ebo 03-10-2002, 09:29 PM Oh, Click, create new account.. In web host manager. jmc67 03-10-2002, 09:34 PM Should the ip be checked? Do I have to add a dns zone to the domain be added? Does the domain use the same ip as my account? How can this domain be viewed before it propagates? ebo 03-10-2002, 09:39 PM Should the ip be checked? - If you want them to have there own IP. xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Do I have to add a dns zone to the domain be added? No. It will add it. Does the domain use the same ip as my account? It can. If you do not want a Unique IP. (You don't need one) How can this domain be viewed before it propagates? By the IP, if its unique. If it's not unique, you can USUALLY view it by going to http://THEIP/~THEIRUSERNAME jmc67 03-10-2002, 09:49 PM ok, my host set me up this way.... 2 ips for ns 123.123.123.123 = ns1.mydomain.com 123.123.123.100 = ns2.mydomain.com Main ip for mydomain.com = 123.123.123.123 On WHM my domain ip shows under the accounts as: 123.123.111.121 But host says that my ip is: 123.123.123.123 What ip does the clients use to view page? Also when setting up client there is an option for ip address assigning. The options are auto assign, 123.123.123.123, 123.123.123.100, and more ips. What should I choose? If it's not unique, you can USUALLY view it by going to http://THEIP/~THEIRUSERNAME ebo 03-10-2002, 09:56 PM 123.123.111.121 / And AutoAssign. :D jmc67 03-10-2002, 10:02 PM Does not work ebo 03-10-2002, 10:03 PM That's why I said usually. That is, if your referring to the site not displaying in a browser. Contact your webhost. They should know their systems better then me. :) |
