Recently, I checked out phenominet on a recommendation. Their Tier 2, 3, and 4 plans seem reasonable for their price range, but the Tier 1 plan sort of has me suspicious.

I know someone who has a personal site and would qualify for their Tier 1 plan, but I'm not sure if it's all that reliable. It's offering "Unlimited Bandwidth" for $4.95/month. That seems too good to be true.

So far, I've searched the message boards, and most of the reviews for phenominet were good. However, I've noticed that most of the people here have commercial websites, so I'm wondering if anyone has actually used their Tier 1 plan for their personal website? If so, would you recommend it?

im using tier3 @ phenominet, and have absolutley no complaints.. they have been responsive, and accomodating and the pages load fast too!

to my knowledge tier 1 sites are for non-profit personal homepages
