You plan to sell 10gb plans? If yes, start with a dedicated server.

Just start off with a small amount and increase as needed. Depending on how big the plans you offer are, you can work out how much you need.

If you plan to offer 250Mb space, maybe you could go for a plan with 2Gb disk and when you start to fill it up you can increase the reseller plan and upgrade it.

You will probably need about 25gb space because most people wont use up all of their 10gb room. It also depends on how many people you are hosting.

Probably buy a reseller with about 10GB space and 100GB Bandwidth, shouldn't be too dear, great starting space size.

If you have chosen a company already... how easy and quick can you upgrade your account?

If it just takes them a few minutes to upgrade your reseller account then I suggest taking the lowest amount possible and just upgrade each time you need to add clients. Or start with enough for 4 clients and when you get 3 or 4 then upgrade to allow for 8 clients.

I wouldnt suggest buying the maximum because it would be a waste of money unless you fill up the max with in a few weeks.

You should start off with a hosts smallest package and then keep upgrading as need be.

True, start off with a small package that will cover your needs, depending on how well the host you choose has planned out their operation, they should be able to upgrade you when you need more resources without too much hassle.

I agree with everyone else start out with the smallest package possible. Just make sure to ask the host if it's possible to upgrade your package very easily. Some will allow it some may just say you'll have to pay overage fee's. So just make sure that you find one that allows package upgrading. Also make sure to find a reputable host so see if there are bad reviews about them good or what not.

Reseller accounts have the conveniences of being able to easily have extra HD space and bandwidth added to them. You can pretty much start at any level and upgrade as needed.
