Paypal support sucks. I have been requesting them to change the business name for last 7 days but no luck. Filled the Business change name form three days .... no communications from them at all :(

Do you have the same exp. with paypal? or you get faster support from them?

i sent them an email via their contact form on website 1 week ago.

1 week later, I received an email from paypal.feedback@benchmarkportal.com

In actual fact, I never receive any email. I got a survey instead.

On 04/06/05, I sent you an email regarding your PayPal account. As part of
PayPal's
commitment to excellence, I want to make sure I met your needs in my response.
Would you please take a minute to answer a few questions to let me know how I
did?

http://ebay.benchmarkportal.com/paypal/survey.taf?survey_id=.................

To respond to our survey, please click on the web address above. If that does
not work, please cut and paste the entire web address into the address field
of your browser.

NOTE: Please respond within five days so that you can provide timely feedback
to me, Erik . After 5 days, this invitation will expire.

Thank you for your help!

I've got replied from PayPal Support, about business name:

as the individual's name that will be added to the PayPal account.
Acceptable forms of proof include Articles of Incorporation or the
equivalent, current business license, any business documents/forms approved
by and filed with the business's governing state, or a bank statement for
the bank account registered on the PayPal account. The bank statement or
other business documents must show the business name and the name of the
new contact person. If the bank statement shows the business name only,
please include a copy of the signature card.

2. A valid photo ID for the new contact person. We will accept a
driver's license, passport, or any other state or government issued photo
ID.

To assist you more efficiently, please include a cover letter with the

If you plan to accept credit card payments, you must have a Premier or
Business account. If you would like to have an account under a company or
group name, you must have a Business account. PayPal's three account types
are designed to accommodate the different needs of our members:

· Personal accounts are reserved for individual use and are designed
primarily for people who would like to send payments. Personal accounts may
not receive payments funded with a credit card.

· Premier accounts are for members who will have a high transaction
volume, need to accept credit card payments, or would like access to our
special features

· Business accounts are for business use only. Business accounts
include all of the features of Premier accounts, and also have the ability
to give multiple users some level of access to the account.

If you currently have a Premier account, please follow the instructions
below to upgrade to a Business account:

1. Log in to your account at https://www.paypal.com/au/ by entering
your email address and password in the Member Log In box.

2. Click the 'Profile' subtab.

3. Click the 'Business Information' link under the 'Account
Information' column.

4. Click 'Upgrade' and enter your business information.

5. Click 'Save'. You have now successfully upgraded your Premier
account to a Business account.

Please Note: All transaction records and history from the Premier account
will be retained in the upgraded account.

If you currently have a Personal account, please follow the instructions
below to upgrade to a Premier or Business account:

1. Log in to your account at https://www.paypal.com/au/ by entering
your email address and password in the Member Log In box.

2. Click 'Upgrade Account'.

3. From the next page, select upgrade to a Business account or to a
Premier account. Business accounts allow you to conduct transactions under
a company or group name, whereas Premier accounts allow you to conduct
transactions under your personal name. The fees for Premier and Business
accounts are the same.

4. To select a Premier account, click 'Continue'.

5. If you select a Business account, click 'Continue'. Enter your
Business Information and click 'Submit'.

Please note: All transaction records and history from your Personal account
will be retained in the new account.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again.

If changing the name was that important then you should have called them.
Never had a problem with paypal myself.
