George 03-09-2002, 04:42 PM First off, i think this is a great deal....
some questions....
1. Is this exclusively ip based hosting?
2. domains are limited per server, how many can we expect to have as a minimum
3. How can you guarantee 100% uptime? Who is your provider
4. how much for extra bandwidth? overage? space?
TIA
George 03-09-2002, 04:45 PM is thisd cogent bw? multihomed?
1) You can host either IP based accounts, or name based. We provide you with some IPs to do IP based hosting if you wish.
2) Domains are limited to about 600 accounts per server, roughly. If there is high loads, it would be lower, or more if the loads are low.
3) Our datacenter guarantee's us 100% Network Uptime.. Aleron, Level3 and CogentCo.
4) Multihomed.
5) Extra bandwidth = 10 GB = $15/ PRE PAID, or $18 for 10 GB after you go over.
Thanks
Sean
Kintallon 03-09-2002, 06:48 PM very interested in this great offer:) just a few of questions
1. What are the avarage specs of the server(s)?
2. Should the servers domain limits be reached will our accounts be moved to a less populated server or would we have the ability to create new clients accounts on another server without moving our main account?
3. Do you have an IP we can ping/trace to test the network?
4. How available is your support i.e. 24-7 or whatever?
5. Do you have a 30 day guarantee for the 1st month (just incase):) ?
Thanks

1) P3 1 Ghz Machine, with 256 MB Ram being upgraded to 512.
2) If the server reaches the limit, we will offer you the option to move all accounts over, or just have a second reseller plan on that server, at no additional cost:-)
3) *thinks* 209.51.131.202 or 209.51.139.206
4) There is two (soon to be three) on support. I am online most of the time.. 90% of the time..... Helpdesk tickets notify both of us via pager so we can attend to them immediately.
5) Usually we do not offer this on reseller plans because it can limit to us of how many clients we have (there are only 11 resellers on a server), but we can work something out if something comes up.

2. if you have to move accounts, would our clients have to change their DNS info as far as whois is concerned?
George 03-10-2002, 01:43 AM Sean, I've sent you a pm
Replied - sorry everyone who sent me PM's last night. I answered them all right now, and appologize for the delay.
sandstorm32 03-12-2002, 04:53 AM Did you say semi-dedicated IP's?
Trust 03-12-2002, 01:55 PM Wow, that looks great man :D
Very great. But one question. Why i cant use a UBB :bawling: Its the only forum i like :bawling:
Semi Dedicated IP's? Nope.. You can either do IP based hosting, or name based.
2) UBB? It is a resource hog... Sorry, its in our "banned scripts" list. PM me and let me know how many users, posts, active users etc you have and I MIGHT be able to work out something.

Choppy 03-13-2002, 04:39 PM I am interested in some sort of account like this
I was wondering when pinging your first ip i got 17% Lost on the transfer i dont think this is a good thing?
And the second IP was 100% lost is there a problem on your side, or have you stopped the pinging for secuirty?
Thanks in advance did anyone else get this ?
Maybe its just my methods...
Kind regards
hi there,
well i have been receiving a ton of emails from the server about attacks... there is the one problem with computers, they dont know if its an attack, or just someone trying to see if it will get data back or something like that...
it has blocked pinging, for most people now... it claims them as system attacks:( anyways, i'll try to make sure it allows pings,

newedge 03-25-2002, 01:09 PM What is the server uptime guarantee?

NETWORK UPTIME GUARANTEE = 100%.
The server has been up 100% and has been running for about 15 days with no issues. The other server, has been up for 6 (since it was setup).
