Hi

We are thinking about buying a 47U rack with Redbus Interhouse (http://www.interhouse.redbus.com/ENG/) and was wondering what you thought about them.

Thanks, Steven.

Not used them myself, but I have heard they are pretty good.

They can't compete with the Telehouse in terms of connectivity, but their pricing is far better.

Hi

Yes i would like to use telehouse but we were quoted around £28 000 for a 3 year contract with telehouse.

Compare to Redbus Interhouse prices at

Set-up: £1,000.00
Monthly Rate: £350.00
Annual Rate: £4,000.00

3 Years: £13 000

Then they seem a more realistic option for us as anything could happen is a space of 3 years whereas the Redbus contact would be much shorter.

Thanks, Steven.

Redbus are a great company. As for your comment on not having the connectivity I would disagree since they have many providers on the floor, the facility is newer and they have two new London facilities which they've just opened.

Your quote of £4000. Does this include a connectivity provider/a connection (i.e 256k)?

Hi

No the quote is only for a 47U rack know as interRack on their web site. We have been given the following list of providers which Redbus can help us get in contact with (plus more).

AboveNet, Band-X, BT, Cable & Wireless, Carrier 1, Cignal Global
Communications, Claranet, Colt, Easynet, Energis, Fibrenet, Flag Telecom, Global One, Level 3, MCI Worldcom, Metromedia Fiber Network, Neos (formerly I.D.N.), NTL, Storm Telecom, Telia, UK2 Net, Web Tapestry, Teleglobe, XO Communications, NewNet.

As our current server is on a Level3 line via another company we would probably just get Redbus to get us onto Level3 (otherwise as i've heard its impossible to get onto them without the help of your data centre).

Thanks, Steven.
