What's the deal with eCommerce sites that take a couple days to process your order?

On the advice of someone here I checked out AWBS today. It looks like a great system, and the price is so low I had to check it out. SO, I go ahead and order it only to find out it could take up to two days to process the order. Seems to me that kind of defeats the purpose of eCommerce.

Of course it's not a big deal, but it is frustrating having to wait for something you've already paid for when you know it's not as though it needs to be shipped or anything. This seems to be the case for several online software purchases...very frustrating for someone who can't wait to get going.;)

LOL, problem solved then I guess. :)

PS - keep in mind that sometimes it is because companies (very prudently) check each of their orders manually before fulfilling them and/or capturing the sale due to concerns about possible fraud.

Fraud Shmaud, I want my software! lol JK :)

I figured that was the case, I'm just impatient when it comes to this stuff.

Sad that someone can get excited over installing billing software...

Fraudulent orders is a big problem in this industry. The crooks are just trying to get software that the can further their fraudulent efforts with. This should be the primary reason for delays.

In addition, hosted accounts need to be set up on the servers which is a manual process.

Hope that helps
