Hi :)
I got hired by one of my dads friends to design a companys new flyer for this year. I need a professional font that would look good for a Pontoon Launching/Pier Removal/Installation.
Thanks :)

Great, you've snatched up your first assignment.
NOW hit Photoshop or whatever tool you want to use and PLAY with different/100s of fonts. It'll take your skills and designing experience MUCH farther(especially from where you are right now) than if you just take someone's suggestion from here.

taking shortcuts won't help you in the long run.. create a design from scratch that the clietn loves and you will take a lot more from working on this job than you would by getting everything from people that have been there and done that
good luck!

Just write soemthing brief in photoshop, click the font selection, and push your arrow keys. Find one that you like.

Well, as you'll learn, there are millions of "free fonts" site...all carrying mostly the same set of fonts - only differentiator between the sites being the no. of popups you receive;).
Be prepared to sift through hundreds of fonts(I mean no exaggeration!) - I only have 758 fonts after being in designing for few years...and that is after "cleaning" the font house couple times.

Does creating a design from scratch demand a font from scratch as well? :)
EDIT: Also note that fonts can actually slow down your system considerably when in Microsoft Word, Photoshop, or another application that utilizes and previews them.

You'll find the right font for sure. And when you got a font you can also edit it to your preference.
edit: congratulations with your job :)

try fontfreak.com too. Just find one that says construction, stable, water, or the like.

Nice one, first job and I'm sure you'll make a good one of it :)
For pixel fonts (very popular at the moment) try www.deviantart.com - for other fonts you could look at the likes of fontfreak.com as said above.
Good luck and ENJOY it! :D
