Hello Webmasters and Server Administrators.

My name is Mati Lurey, and I have worked with Linux and Windows servers for a little over three (3) years, especially in the department of gaming and voice servers. In particular, Half-Life Servers and Ventrilo/Teamspeak.

Due to financial problems, I was unable to continue a few months ago, and since then have been looking for other people.

There is BIG money to be made in this department, and since you can start out pretty small, even if the buisness entirely fails you will not lose very much.

These days a lot of people have dedicated servers either just to *tinker with* or for some small tasks. What they don't realize is they can put their servers to work for absolutely no extra investment.

Technology is only getting CHEAPER, servers can now be had for as low as $50/mo for a good quality 2.4 Intel CPU and 512mb of ram.

On such a system, you are able to run around 4 12 slot private servers for at least $20 a month, up to around $30 a month. This translates into a profit of at least $30, even as much as $70.

As you gain money, you can set aside profits to rent or colo more machines until you have a good number in varied locations.

A server like an AMD 3000+, 1GB of Ram and 80GB hard drive in california costs $120 with a good company and no setup fee. This can run smoothly 5-6 servers with other goodies like Voice and HLTV. Estimating $35/per customer, you gain $50-$100 per server.

Anyway lets get to the point ---
I am looking for a few individuals who would like to possibly start a server company. You do not need to have anything incredible, even a small tinkering server does the trick for some low-cpu programs such as voice communication.

You would keep the majority of your profits for just HAVING the server. You would not need to do any work on it, or worry about having a website/customer relations (you can if you wish).

I can setup the website, and have 2 and 3 other experienced administrators willing to run the buisnsess as you collect your profits!

-----

If you are interested AT all, feel free to contact me at mlurey@gmail.com or AIM: CheeseItOrElse. I can provide you with more precise details, and a list of great priced dedicated servers through some affiliates.

Thank you and have a good day

- Mati Lurey

Would be better placed in the advertising forums. But you will need more than that one post to do so.

lol I have numerous dedicated servers sitting around doing nothing but I think I will have to pass. This offer sounds kind of fishy and considering you only have one post, I don't think you will get very many takers...

so what your simply saying is that the company's whom run Intel (Dual) Xeons are nuts, because they can do the same with a Celeron 2.4?

Sounds appealing, but very fishy. Anybody considering this offer please remember, if it's too good to be true it's not.

Earning just $50/mo sounds appealing to people? Sheesh!

I am not implying or saying that. Since this post was targeted at lower budget users I did not mention the Dual Xeon Intel or Dual AMD Opteron Server choices. The *cheapest* I have ever seen for a Dual Xeon 3.0Ghz w/ 2GB of ram is $219. It's a really good price, but still pretty expensive for just anybody to invest in.

I'm not trying to scam anybody. If you wish, I can make the payment links right to YOUR credit card accept site (PayPal etc...), I would not even be the middle man for the money, and will never ask for your paypal details. It would basically rely on your honesty to pay an (small percentage) amount of your profits to me for managing the websites and server. Such %'s are negotiable, and I'll even let you try it out for a month or two w/o giving me a cent.

If you have any other questions you can email me (mlurey@gmail.com) or post here and I'll reply.

Also "Earning just $50/mo sounds appealing to people? Sheesh!"
- That would be only for a basic server setup. On some Dual Xeon options (like the one listed above), it has enough power to host $400 worth of services and only costs a little over $200 = $200 profit a month.

If the profit margin was larger I would be interested. How do you plan on bringing in customers anyway?

Don't be fooled by this post regarding GSP's. It is not an easy business to get into and more importantly maintain. Once you get 20 or 30 clients you will be spending long hours doing support tasks. The average user of a gameserver has no idea what they are doing and runs into numerous problems.

If you are looking to make a couple extra hundred bucks a month, it's not a bad idea but it's not free money like this sounds. Not to mention the GSP market is going to shrink down to maybe 10 providers over the next 5 years with only the big boys hanging in there. The 100's of little startup companies will get lost in the mix.

The profit margin can be larger! Prices above only reflect rented servers that are used. If you own your own servers in colocation, you can definately increase your profits.

Another Notice
We are ALSO looking for:
- Company that would like to supply webhosting for our clients. A lot of people want webhosting with there server purchase, so I'm looking for one (possibly two) people that are able to supply "super value" webhosting to our customers, and again keep the majority of their profits.

- *You* will not be doing any support tasks. I already have administrators signed up through myself that will completely manage the servers.

- There really is never going to be a monopoly on GSP's. Why? Because larger companies usually charge WAY too much. Some of the popular "bigboys" include www.isogames.com www.gamedaemons.com www.griffinrun.com --- All three of which charge $50+ for a small 12 slot server, something that smaller companies offer around $20.

We are also looking for a company that would like to supply ventrilo for our customers. Currently ventrilo.com is not accepting more lisences, so we need a 3rd party.

I am looking for a budget ventrilo hoster over quality, so again contact me @ mlurey@gmail.com
