Hi WHT members

I want to try selling hosting in Ebay. But when i tried to create a seller account, I was asked to put in my credit number , and a checking account.

I am not from USA. So can I get listed on Ebay US?

Well I'm in the UK, signed up years ago (presumably on eBay.co.uk) so can't remember the precise procedure, but I put a number of items on eBay.co.uk the other day & they show up on eBay.com with $ conversions.

Hope this helps

I'm pretty sure you can still sell things on EBay because if I recall correctly one of the items I purchased last year was from a seller in the UK.

I am from Malaysia. I created another ebay account. Tried the same credit card again, then the first ebay account's email received an email saying that the credit card was being used again, and I was informed because this particular credit card was on file. What exactly does on file means?

Joshua, "on file" means someone has already stored the credit card information on their eBay account. If you go back to your first eBay account and use a different credit card number, the credit card number will no longer be "on file" with eBay and you can use it for your second eBay account.

For example, when a hosting customer signs up with Example Hosting Company, the customer stores a credit card number "on file" so that when Example Hosting Company needs to charge the customer for services, for example each month, they can use the credit card the customer stored "on file" with them instead of asking for the billing information each month.

I have checked in my ebay section. This credit card information is not showing in there. Shouldnt this "on file" credit card details be displayed somewhere?

Joshua, I took a quick look around eBay's help section and I found the following:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/account/credit-card.html

I personally use two eBay accounts but they do not use the same credit card number, so I'm not sure if this is exactly what you need but I am guessing it is. Let us know how it turns out.

Thanks sednasolutions for the link.

I did try to contact help desk. so far, they got back to me with questions about what card I was using. Wrote them back. They have yet to get back to me.

I did try another credit card today, on the second ebay account. Still it is not getting through. Does ebay discriminate credit card by banks?

I am not able to see Seller's account, as indicated by the link you have posted. All I can see is "Start Selling!" in my menu . When I click on it, it will prompt me to create a Seller account. Then I enter my credit card information again.... and click Submit , it will go back to square one .... " You have to create a seller account to start selling"
