I am quite worried as i find myself with a little under a week to build a shop for someone - never having done this before!!

The reason I have ended up leaving it so late is because the host that we had this clients site with offered a shopping cart with the account, but it wasn't until a Fri that we discovered that this was not suitable for us as our client has his own merchant account, and they only offered payment through Paypal. This would obviously have meant futher high fees on top of his mechant account, which should not have been nessesary.

So i need to know if anyone can recommend a good and reliable UK host with an easy WYSIWYG shopping cart integrated into their hosting account that would allow me to put a shop together and sort all this out within a 2 or 3 days (argh!!)

A further problem i have is that the bank that our client uses for his merchant account does not provide its own secure gateway so i understand that we need to find another company that will provide this service for a small fee. (Someone mentioned Protx - are they any good and what would this all involve)

Any help or advise that anyone can offer will be most appreciated. I just need an idiot-proof very quick easy and neat store. I have no idea about PHP or My SQL and am using FP 2003! (groan ... I know!) I am obviously getting very worried about this given the timescale!!

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to this forum as well Dfoley!

I am very surprised that no one has replied to your thread yet. Maybe today you will get a few more responses

Mals-E would probably still be your best best over in the UK to help you get situated.

Hello again Corey!

UR very busy helping people aren't you, which is very kind of you! At some point in the future maybe I will be able to do the same!

LOL thanx! Yes you are probably quite right about Mals-E and I will probably end up going with that if I don't get any more recommendations by tomorrow.

Thanks again,

Kind regards,

~Dawn~

Ah shucks - thanks! And I am sure you will be able to as well - maybe even recommend Mals-E (if you do like them and sign up with them, that is :) )

You might also try to do a search on here & see if that proves viable is well..
