Did anybody's server crash last night due to a hardware node problem? We were down for a few hours. Some of our services are still down as of today. It's very frustrating as Mondays are the busiest business day of the week!

I was planning to move over to powerVPS because I have read nothing but great stuff about them.
Is this the first time your server has gone down?
I had to login to WHM and manually restart some services. They seem to be up now. I have been with powervps for 2 weeks now and this is the first server crash. Hopefully it is a fluke situation.
An email was sent out to the customers on this hardware node last night.
The server rebooted and then went through its fsck process. Because we do not know what caused the reboot, we started migrating customers off the node to another node immediately, so we can troubleshoot and diagnose this hardware problem. The last of the migrates have finished up and this hardware node is going to be replaced so we can troubleshoot it.
Your VPS should not have not been down because services didn't start, please submit a ticket for an engineer to check out your panel as those serivces should autostart when the VPS booted back up last night.

Now THAT'S support... How many services out there would have left a troublesome box up and live instead of migrating folks off to stable units? Sucks to have hardware problems, but great to have a responsive/responsible hosting provider. ;)

I have to say that regardless of this mis-hap their support team is very good. Emails are answered promptly.
