Chris mjfroggy 03-08-2002, 07:19 PM Just wanted to say over at yourwebspot.com we use a custom cpanel4 skin from cpanel.net since the default cpanel has many bugs and broken links. So if you are looking for a host that uses cpanel make sure they are not using the default skin cpanel which has ALOT of broken links in it Jedito 03-09-2002, 12:50 AM Originally posted by Jreis Just wanted to say over at yourwebspot.com we use a custom cpanel4 skin from cpanel.net since the default cpanel has many bugs and broken links. What are you talking about? How just a simple skin/theme will solve Cpanel bugs? mjfroggy 03-09-2002, 08:41 PM Hello, I was refering to the dark blue deafult cpanel the same one that is posted on the front of cpanel.net their are many things in their that don't work as good as they should. Ok its not actually the skin but in general that version of the cpanel just has some issues like having xmb board as the pre-install board which was a bad choice since that bb system has got to be the worst on the market but I hope this clearifies my above post. From looking at your previous post and this current one....... Does having a skin fix these things? :) Did you intend to say stay away from hosting companies that are using the default skin? Mute 03-14-2002, 10:04 PM To my knowledge, http://rackhost.net. They offer a good plan. (I'm not completely sure on reseller, but I can bet they offer it) I'm using CPanel 4 and I use their service. Maybe its worth a look. Perfecthost 03-14-2002, 11:29 PM Give the iconic skin of Cpanel a try. Yes, it is ugly, but it updates when Nick throws in some new things. We haven't noticed anything broken in it lately. Then again, we do not use the default skin. We used our own Cpanel skin until we were having to update it every two days, just to stay up with the changes Nick was making. I said, "Forget this!", and we have used iconic since. No problems, so far. It is true that xmb is not the best board out there, but, IMHO it is not the worst, either. It serves its purpose. If you have a large BB, or need more features, I would look into buying a stronger one. However, xmb works just fine as a simple message board. I'm not sure why it was chosen instead of others, though. -Lamar Maniac 03-15-2002, 02:31 AM Originally posted by Jedito Cpanel Default theme have broken links? What are you talking about?
