The amount of data your site can transfer to your visitors (all of them count).

Just a quick question, would you classify Bandwidth and Transfer to be the same. Just asking cause some people don't. :)

Bandwidth would be more accurately described as the volume of data per unit of time that a network or other medium can physically transmit -- or the amount that it is transmitting at any given point in time. Admittedly, even that is a generalization of what it technically means, as implied by its component parts, "band" and "width" -- the width of an allocated band of frequencies.

Unforunately, the further oversimplification that defines bandwidth as the service policy transfer limits of a hosting account or the amount of data that happens to actually be transferred to and from a hosting account in a month is being widely propogated by people in the business who would better serve their customers by educating them accurately, rather than "dumbing down" such complex :) technical details.

(In other words, in answer to dipstick's question, I do not.)
