Yes! I was considering emailing their NOC.

I got a shutdown notification on my telnet window. Perhaps it's a power failure or something equally horrifying.

the other morning at about 4 am (last weds i believe) all our cobalt raq's went offline some circuits in our UPS blew, we got all the servers up right away but the problem still had to be fixed. tonight the electrician came in added a pile of new circuits and beefed up the whole USP system to prevent a repeat performance. i would prefer not to take the servers offline to do this but there is no other way. and yes this affected every raq server in the place, its because of their small size more servers can go on a rack and hence we overloaded each of the circuits they were on we quadrupled the circuits so this is no longer an issue. i originally built my server rooms speced for 6 4u units running 300 watts each now each rack has 24 units running 40 watts each so this shouldnt have happened in the first place but something tells me the power consumption ratings on the cobalt raq's is not acurate.

Steve,

Is it possible to sent out a notification to all of your raq clients, letting them know when scheduled maintenance will occur, or is this posted on the website anywhere?

Thanks,
Johnathan

anyway using the tera-byte dns control panel i just added the domain and pointed it to the ip address, added an A record for 'www' and pointed to the same ip address.

Then in Raq3 admin panel add the virtual site for the domain pointing to the ip.

Then wait between 24 - 72 hrs for the changes.

Here's one of my site's in development on this raq3 - http://www.fananime.net/artwork/artwork.cgi :)

i wonder how 32MB can handle the load of this gallery script :)

Not bad, but then again most sites are fast. We cheat with a 5mbps DSL.

It loads slow on Netscape because of the multiple layered tables.. But what site using tables doesn't load slow on Netscape?

It loads very quick on IE.
