www.000domains.com revised their website last night & have some new features & a new account management system. Acct management is much better but they changed my account name from whatever to whatever2.
Same $13.50 price:( but hopefully same great service & response time.

Bumped into their under construction page about 8 hours ago. Now, it's good. :)

I think dotster is buying up registrars, lets see what happens

Dotster was bought out in December by an investment fund. I would expect many more registrars they will acquire this year.

Is Dotster any good? Should I keep expiring domains with 000domains/dotster or transfer? I am more concerned about service & response time than price.

I have used them back when namewinner was one of the best drop services. Basic interface but functional. They had email only support at the time.

Wow I didn't know 000domains has changed ownership. Really interested to see how that affects support.

Support has already changed, they used to respond to emails within 20 minutes but now the website says within 24 hours. This was confirmed by their support dept who added that they provide support to over 2 million domain customers. Webhosting.info says that dotster has 1,175,059 domains so the 2 million must include recent acquisitions.

000domains were awesome, wolrth spending a bit more for the peace of mind. I hate the new interface. Covered with adverts and a suspiciously cumdersome interface.

I've had no sense out of registerfly or namecheap when I've contacted them, time to look around again.

and i thought dotster was going down, seems not after all these acquisitions!

it seems they are aiming on registrar which provide domains to end users and in the range of ~$15

maybe some new idea to blow godaddy and takeover their end user market ;)

000domains support use to be excellent, i hope it still says the same after this acquisition.

I don't see any ads on their public site nor after logging in though. In any event, I still like the old interface just before they changed a few days ago.

I sent a couple of "test" emails to support & they replied in 5-7 business hours, a 'little' bit longer than 000domains old 15-20 minute response time. Dotster and now 000domains are owned by bakercapital.com

I remember a load of adverts at the end, after I went through a new registration process. But, either way, the old interface was great. Fast and basic - it did what it said on the packet.
